Terms of registration and website use.
The terms on which seats on open workshops are sold and this website is used. In-company programmes are governed by the proposal and contract for that engagement.
Who you are dealing with
Open workshops of the Sabira Merchant Institute are organised, sold and invoiced by Princeton Academy Mumbai II Pvt. Ltd. (“Princeton Academy”, “we”), 502 Shalimar Morya Park, Andheri Link Road, Andheri West, Mumbai 400053, India, which facilitates the institute. When you register for a workshop you enter into a contract with Princeton Academy on these terms and on the registration confirmation issued for that batch. If the two differ, the registration confirmation applies to that batch.
Registration and payment
- A seat is confirmed only when payment is received in full. Until then a registration is a request, and seats are allocated in the order payment arrives.
- Fees are per batch and per seat, confirmed to you in writing before you pay, and are inclusive of the items stated for that batch, normally materials, the certificate, lunch and tea. Anything not stated is not included. Applicable GST is shown with the fee.
- Princeton Academy issues a GST invoice for every registration. If you want the invoice in your organisation’s name, give the company name and GSTIN at the time of booking. Invoices are not reissued in a different name after the batch.
- Group bookings of three or more seats on the same batch are priced together as stated on the batch listing.
Transfers, substitutions and cancellations
Transfers to another batch, substitution of one participant for another, and cancellations by you are handled as stated on the registration confirmation for that batch, including any cut-off dates and any charges. Requests must be sent by email to register@princetonacademy.co.in and take effect when we acknowledge them. Non-attendance without notice is not a cancellation.
Changes by the institute
The institute may reschedule a batch, change its venue within the same city, or cancel it, for reasons including insufficient registrations, venue or faculty availability, or circumstances outside our control. If a batch is rescheduled or cancelled, you may transfer your seat to another batch of the same programme or receive a full refund of the fee paid. We will tell you as early as we can, using the contact details on your registration. We are not responsible for travel or other costs you incur in connection with a batch.
Delivery and faculty
Every programme is designed and overseen by Sabira Merchant and delivered by faculty she has trained and certified on her curriculum. Depending on the format, batch and schedule, Ms Merchant may conduct part of a session personally. No registration is sold on the promise of her attendance or of any particular faculty member, and a change of faculty is not grounds for a refund.
Certificates
A certificate of completion on the Sabira Merchant curriculum is issued through Princeton Academy to participants who attend the programme and complete its assessment to the required standard. It is not issued for attendance alone or for partial attendance. The certificate records the participant’s name, the programme, the date and the standard met. Princeton Academy confirms certificates on request at register@princetonacademy.co.in. A certificate is a record of completion and is not a professional licence or an academic qualification.
Conduct at a workshop
Sessions involve practice, role-play and individual correction in front of a small group. Participants are expected to take part, to treat other participants and faculty with courtesy, and to follow the venue’s rules. Recording a session, in audio or video, is not permitted without written consent from Princeton Academy. A participant whose conduct disrupts a session may be asked to leave without a refund.
Intellectual property
The curriculum, the programme materials, the exercises, the assessment rubrics and the certificate design are the intellectual property of Sabira Merchant and Princeton Academy. Materials given to you at a workshop are for your personal use. They may not be copied, shared, published, used to deliver training, or used to build a competing programme. The names “Sabira Merchant Institute” and “Sabira Merchant”, and the content of this website, may not be used to suggest an endorsement or association without written permission.
Use of this website
The content of this website is provided for information about the institute and its programmes. We keep it accurate and current to the best of our ability, and batch dates are those published at the time you read them, and venues and fees are those confirmed to you when you register, but the registration confirmation for a batch is the authoritative record for that batch. Links to press coverage and other external sites are provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. How personal information collected through this site is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
Liability
Our responsibility to you in connection with a registration is limited to the fee you paid for that registration, except where the law does not allow such a limit. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer-protection law.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new date at the top, and the terms in force when you registered apply to that registration. Questions go to register@princetonacademy.co.in or to Princeton Academy Mumbai II Pvt. Ltd., 502 Shalimar Morya Park, Andheri Link Road, Andheri West, Mumbai 400053.
