Privacy policy.
What this website collects about you, why, who handles it, and how to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Written to be read, not skimmed.
Who operates this website
This website is operated by Princeton Academy Mumbai II Pvt. Ltd. (“Princeton Academy”, “we”), 502 Shalimar Morya Park, Andheri Link Road, Andheri West, Mumbai 400053, India, which facilitates the Sabira Merchant Institute. Princeton Academy decides how the personal information collected through this site is used and is responsible for it under applicable Indian data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
We collect only what is needed to answer you and run a programme.
- Enquiry and registration forms. Your name, email address, phone number, organisation and role if you give them, the programme you are interested in, the city, and anything you write in the message box. For registrations we also record the batch, the invoice details you supply (including a company name and GSTIN if you ask for the invoice in your organisation’s name) and the payment reference. Card and bank details are entered with the payment provider, not on this site, and we do not store them.
- WhatsApp and phone. If you message or call an L&D consultant, we hold your number and the content of the conversation so that we can follow up. WhatsApp messages also pass through WhatsApp’s own systems under WhatsApp’s terms and privacy policy.
- Email. Emails you send to our addresses, and our replies, are kept in our mailboxes.
- Visits. When you visit, we record basic information about the visit, such as the pages viewed and the type of device, to keep the website working and secure and to see how it is used. We keep only a shortened form of your IP address. The full address is kept only for a security investigation, and only while it lasts. Our own systems work without cookies.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how the website is used. They set cookies, and Clarity records how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling. Google and Microsoft handle this information under their own privacy policies.
- Programme records. If you attend a programme, we record attendance, the assessment result and the certificate issued. For in-company programmes, this is reported to the organisation that engaged us.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and send you the batch details, fee and registration link you asked for.
- To register you on a programme, confirm your seat, issue the invoice, run the session and issue the certificate.
- To report attendance and assessment results to your organisation when it has engaged us for an in-company programme.
- To confirm a certificate when a participant or an employer asks us to.
- To tell you about future batches of the programmes you enquired about. You can ask us to stop at any time, and every such message tells you how.
- To keep the accounting and tax records that Indian law requires us to keep.
- To keep the website working and secure, and to see how it is used.
Who processes it
Princeton Academy staff who handle registrations, invoicing and programme delivery. The certified faculty who deliver your programme see the participant list and the assessment records for that batch. Beyond that, your information is handled by the service providers we use to run the site and the business: the form and website hosting providers that store submissions, our email provider, WhatsApp for messages sent that way, the payment provider that processes fees, the providers that keep the website working and secure, and the analytics services named above. Each of them acts on our instructions or under its own published terms. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
Sabira Merchant and the faculty do not receive your contact details for any purpose other than delivering and assessing the programme you registered for.
How long we keep it
As long as needed to run the programme and meet accounting obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to a registration are deleted once they are clearly closed. Registration, invoice and certificate records are kept for the period Indian tax and company law requires, and certificate records are kept so that a certificate can be confirmed later. Analytics data is held in aggregated form only.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to register@princetonacademy.co.in from the email address you used with us, or tell us which one you used, so that we can confirm it is you. We will reply within a reasonable time and act on the request unless the law requires us to keep the record, for example an invoice. You can also withdraw consent to analytics cookies through your browser settings or the cookie notice on this site, and ask us to stop sending batch announcements at any time.
Participants under eighteen
Our programmes are intended for adults and working professionals. Where a participant on the Young Professionals programme is under eighteen, the registration is made by a parent or guardian, and it is the parent’s or guardian’s contact details that we hold.
Security and links
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are stored on access-controlled systems, and only staff who need the information can see it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects your information in the way the law requires. This site links to other websites, including press coverage and social media. Their privacy practices are their own.
